Introduction: Most Important Sections of Your Airbnb Listing
Listen up. Because this article is going to transfer some seriously useful knowledge to any host willing to read 393 words. The three most important parts of any listing are the cover photo, the important Airbnb title, and ‘About this listing’ section, in that order. If you get these three things right, you’ll be in the top 25% of Airbnb hosts.
Cover Photo
Your cover photo takes up the most real estate on P2 (the search results page) and will be most responsible for having guests click to your listing.
This photo should highlight the best aspect of your house or the part of your house the guest will be most using. That could be a view of the open and remodeled kitchen and living room, or the high-ceiling bedroom. Think about using a photo with a lot of colors, specifically, a color that attracts potential guest eyes, like oranges or deep blues. Avoid photos of views, plain Jane photos, and blurry photos.

Catchy Title
Think back to the last time you were using Airbnb as a guest. After you narrowed down the non-subjective parts of your search like general location, price, number of guests, and dates, things get subjective.
You want your Airbnb title to be catchy and to encourage the potential guest to click to your listing. Mention things that are unique about your space. Do you have free parking in San Francisco? How about a hot tub? Rooftop patio overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge?
You should mention these things in the title. Avoid using your title to tell the guest what they already know like the number of bedrooms or bathrooms. Which title of the following four listings most captures your interest?
Summary Text At Top
Don’t assume FPGs (future potential guest’s) will read your entire listing. Instead, assume the opposite. The ‘About this listing’ is the section nearest the cover photo that potential guests are most likely to read. Make it stand out and easy to read.
Again, avoid telling the guest what they already know (i.e. how many bedrooms/bathrooms). Focus on what makes your listing great. See the example below and let me know what you think.
